During Bond’s bail application the court heard he would have no contact with his co-accused, he had drug abuse issues and would return to his Moruya home to live avoiding Nowra altogether.
However, Magistrate Gabriel Fleming found show cause was not met as there seriousness of the charges, strength of the prosecution case and “lengthy criminal history” outweighed his community ties and risk of institutionalisation.
Bond’s case was adjourned without plea to August 28.
Tighe, of Bomaderry, was charged with two counts of possessing a shortened firearm, three counts of firearm found at premises, possessing ammunition, using prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possess or use prohibited weapon without permit and two counts of goods suspected stolen.
