Duc Nguyen Ong: Drones, helicopters launched in search for missing Cabramatta man along Kiama shoreline
The search for a Sydney rock fisherman feared lost at sea has entered its second day as police launch helicopters and drones after officers found the man’s car parked near a busy south coast beach more than a day after he was last seen.

Police launched helicopters and drones on Thursday amid a large-scale land, sea, and air search for a missing Sydney rock fisherman officers fear was swept out to sea near a busy south coast tourist town.
Police officers joined members of the Marine Command when they relaunched their search for Duc Nguyen Ong shortly after 7am.
Mr Duc was last seen walking towards a rock ledge near Marsden Heads, south of Kiama blowhole around midday on Tuesday.
Officers from the Lake Illawarra Police District located the 34-year-old’s car on Wednesday morning, as well as a number of personal possessions on the rocks.
Mr Duc was reported missing to police after failing to return to his Fairfield home overnight.
Fairfield City Police Area Command describe Mr Duc as being of Asian appearance, about 175cm tall with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a dark coloured T-shirt, black shorts, and work boots.
Illawarra police joined Marine Area Command, PolAir, Marine Rescue NSW, and Surf Living Saving NSW in their search on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police statement, officers are unsure whether Mr Duc was wearing a life jacket at the time of his disappearance.
