Data reveals South East NSW’s top performing NAPLAN schools
The top performing schools across South East NSW for NAPLAN have been revealed, with data showcasing the best primary and secondary schools on the coast.

Frensham School and Oxley College are South East NSW’s top performing NAPLAN schools in 2024.
An independent analysis of newly-released 2024 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the Year 5 and Year 9 tests.
Oxley College, in Burradoo, had better results than any other school across South East NSW, scoring an average of 537.4.
Frensham Junior School in Mittagong was the second best for the region with an average score of 532.4, while Candelo Public School in Candelo was the third best with an average score of 529.8.
The top performing secondary school was Frensham School, in Mittagong, where the average result was 611.2.
Oxley College in Burradoo was the second best for the region with an average score of 610.4, while The Alpine School in Cooma was the third best with an average score of 597.2.
To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (Yr 5 or Yr 9) were combined and the average found.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.
The figures were independently compiled from the Federal Government’s MySchool website.
