Coronavirus: Southern NSW Health District records 18 cases
There have been six new cases of coronavirus in one day along the South Coast, as the number of people testing positive in NSW is on the rise.

Confirmed cases of the highly-contagious coronavirus have increased in the Southern NSW Local Health District.
As of 5pm, March 25, 18 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the district, with one case in Goulburn being an ACT resident, a Southern NSW Local Health District spokesperson said.
Six new cases were identified by the local health district in the 24 hours up to 5pm on Wednesday.
Two new cases were found in the Bega Valley, and one each in Eurobodalla, Goulburn-Mulwaree and Queanbeyan shires. The sixth new case was an ACT resident.
“Southern NSW Local Health District Public Health Unit is in contact with each confirmed case and their close contacts, advising them to self-isolate for 14 days from when they were last with the confirmed case,” a Southern NSW Local Health District spokesperson said.
“They have also been advised to seek medical attention should they experience symptoms.
As at 8.30am on Wednesday, there were 38 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). This number jumped from 26 cases on Monday evening.
Of these cases, one patient is being cared for in Wollongong Hospital and one patient in Shoalhaven Hospital. It is understood the rest are in isolation at home.
Southern NSW Local Health District has established COVID-19 Assessment Centres throughout the District. These centres are in Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Moruya, Bega and Cooma.
Any one heading to an assessment centre must phone the SNSWLHD Central Intake Service on 1800 999 880 (option 1) before attending.
A total of 11 people have died across the country as a result of the pandemic, with the number of confirmed cases in NSW doubling in the last four days.
On Thursday morning, the state government announced it hadn’t ruled out introducing tougher lockdown measures in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says “NSW will have to go further” with restrictions if the number of positive coronavirus cases continues to rise.
