Coronavirus: south coast cases by postcode

For the first time we can tell you how many COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed postcode by postcode on the south coast, with one Bega Valley area home to eight cases.

NSW Health data has revealed the postcodes of confirmed coronavirus cases across the state.

The data is for confirmed COVID-19 cases only based on location of usual residence.

In Southern NSW Local Health District, 51 cases were confirmed at 12pm yesterday. In the Bega Valley eight cases are recorded in 2548, which includes suburbs such as Merimbula and Tura Beach. One case is confirmed in the 2550 postcode.

In the Eurobodalla, six of the nine cases are in the postcode 2536 covering areas from Batemans Bay to Malua Bay to Mogo. One case is in 2537 and two are in the southern Eurobodalla postcode of 2546.

All of Goulburn-Mulwaree’s confirmed cases are in 2580 suburbs.

Up to 9am on Wednesday, 89 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

Of those, 22 cases are in the Shoalhaven shire.

Four cases are registered to the 2539 postcode which includes suburbs from Bawley Point and Kioloa, Ulladulla, Mollymook and Lake Conjola. There are no confirmed cases for the nearby suburbs and towns of Milton and surrounding districts in the 2538 postcode.

The most cases in the Shoalhaven reside in the 2540 postcode with seven. Suburbs under the 2540 postcode include Cambewarra, Callala Bay, Basin View, Sanctuary Point and Culburra Beach.

Second in the Shoalhaven is Berry, Broughton Vale and Shoalhaven Heads’ postcode of 2535 with six cases.

Five cases have been found in residents who live in Nowra and Bomaderry’s postcode of 2541.

Two people with confirmed COVID-19 results are currently in Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. No cases in the Southern NSW Local Health District have required hospitalisation.
