Cooma: hunt for man and woman after cop hit in pursuit
Police are hunting for a man and a woman seen in CCTV at a Queanbeyan service station after an incident on the Monaro Highway which saw a cop seriously injured.

Images of a man and a woman police want to speak to have been released after a crash on the Monaro Highway left a police officer with serious head injuries last month.
The man is described as being caucasian with brown hair. He was wearing a black and orange hi-vis hooded jumper, black pants and light coloured Adidas sneakers at the time and had on a red cap with a black face mask.
The woman has long dark hair and was wearing a black ‘North Face’ shirt and a ring on her left middle finger.
Police were chasing a stolen ute just outside of Cooma on August 30 when the man behind the wheel stopped the car and started to run.
The offender was seen getting into a white Audi two door sedan at Nimmitabel, which then hit a policeman who was chasing the fugitive on foot.
The constable suffered serious head injuries and was flown to the Canberra Hospital for treatment, but has since been release to continue his recovery at home.
Strike force Varga has been established to investigate the incident, with police releasing images of the Audi stopped at a Queanbeyan service station.
The car and two people are seen at the Lanyon Drive business refuelling the stolen vehicle the day before the crash.
The Audi was reported stolen from Phillip in the ACT and was located by police burnt out a day after it hit the officer.
