A blaze at a south coast shopping complex is under investigation after a laundromat was damaged.
The fire in Batehaven Drycleaners and Laundry began at around 7.30pm inside the store, according to Fire and Rescue Inspector, Phil Eberle.
Mr Eberle said the cause of the fire is unknown.
“Investigations will now take place which will determine the cause of the fire and how much damage was sustained,” he said.
The blaze was isolated to one store, however the IGA which sits next to the laundromat was evacuated.
“I was just doing my shopping, then the store manager said I had to leave,” witness Rhiannon Rumble said.
“We couldn’t smell smoke at first, but when we left, we could see it.”
Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene, promptly putting out the fire.
NSW Police also attended the scene to keep the many onlookers at bay.
Investigations are now taking place to determine the cause of the blaze.
