Woman disqualified from driving until 2031, allegedly caught behind wheel three times legal limit

A woman disqualified from driving until 2031 has allegedly been caught behind the wheel where she allegedly poduced a fake license before being charged with high-range drink-driving.

A driver disqualified from driving until 2031 has again been caught behind the wheel and charged with high range drink driving.

Delma June Pike, 58, was allegedly seen by a member of the public swerving in her vehicle on Sherburn Pl at Charlestown at around 10.30am on Thursday.

She then turned onto the Pacific Highway and stopped in the car park of a hotel.

Police spoke to Ms Pike and on inspection of the vehicle officers noticed damage, consistent to a collision.

But she allegedly failed to produce a valid driver’s license and instead produced another person’s license that had been lost six months prior.

A check revealed Ms Pike’s license was disqualified until August 2031.

She was then breath tested and allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.200, three times over the legal limit.

Ms Pike was charged with high range PCA, disqualified Driver and possession of goods suspected of being stolen.

She was refused bail to appear at Belmont Local Court today.
