Police are investigating an alleged road rage incident at Port Stephens last night, where it’s believed the driver of one of the vehicle’s took out a gun and fired it into the other vehicle.
Just after 7pm on Tuesday, police responded to calls regarding the alleged incident on Fullerton St at Stockton.
They were told two vehicles – a blue Mitsubishi ASX and a Toyota Hilux utility – were involved in a driving incident before the Mitsubishi driver pulled out a firearm and discharged it at the Toyota.
The Mitsubishi drove away and was last seen turning onto King St.
Newcastle Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Newcastle Police Station or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
