Service station worker in Aberdare robbed at knifepoint, robbers flee with cash and cigarettes

Police are on the hunt for two men after a frightening armed robbery at a service station in the Hunter Valley.

Police are on the hunt for two men after a frightening armed robbery at a service station in the Hunter Valley.

Shortly before 6am Wednesday, a man entered the Shell on Aberdare Rd, Aberdare and threatened the 31-year-old attendant with a knife.

He stole cash and cigarettes before making his getaway on a dirt bike, ridden by a second man who was waiting out the front.

The bike was last seen headed west along Aberdare Rd.

Both men were last seen wearing motorbike helmets, with dark clothing and their faces covered.

Hunter Valley police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything to come forward
