A 20-year-old man has been charged with the two-punch assault of a teen in a Newcastle West pub.

A man has been charged over a serious pub assault which allegedly left his victim with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
The Raymond Terrace man, 20, was charged by detectives on Tuesday afternoon after an investigation into the alleged two-punch assault at the Cambridge Hotel on September 8.
Police will allege the victim, 19, was walking out of the Newcastle West pub when he was confronted by the man.
He was allegedly knocked unconscious and fell to the ground. He was rushed to hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
His alleged attacker was arrested on Tuesday and later charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court on October 24.
