Newcastle: Senior constable charged over alleged domestic-related incident
A 48-year-old female senior constable – attached to the northern region command – was arrested at Belmont Police Station on Tuesday regarding a domestic-related incident at a Newcastle home in July.

A police officer has been charged over an alleged domestic-related incident earlier this year.
The 48-year-old female senior constable — attached to the northern region command — was arrested at Belmont Police Station at about 11.30am on Tuesday.
The charges relate to an alleged domestic-related incident involving a 45-year-old man at a Newcastle home on July 27.
She was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and reckless wounding.
The officer was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Newcastle Local Court on September 24.
The senior constable is currently on long term leave.
