Mt Hutton: Shot fired at Kariboo Lane home, police hunt gunman

Police are on the hunt for a man after it was reported he shot his gun at a home in Lake Macquarie following an argument with a person inside.

A manhunt is underway after shots were fired in Mt Hutton.

A manhunt is underway after a gunman fired a shot into a Mt Hutton home following an argument.

A crime scene has been established at the Kariboo Lane home after police were called to the scene just after 2pm.

Police believe two men, who were known to each other, argued outside the home before one retreated inside.

Officers have been told the second man has then fired a gun towards the property before fleeing.

Police said the man inside the home received a minor injury.

The hunt continues for the gunman.
