House fires Cardiff, Maryland, Raymond Terrace: Firefighter injured
It was a busy night for NSW Fire and Rescue crews who battled three house fires at Cardiff, Maryland and Raymond Terrace. Investigations continue into their cause.

Fire crews across the Hunter were kept busy last night with a number of house fires.
Firefighters worked throughout the night to extinguish a house fire at Cardiff South.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to John St at around 8.20pm Tuesday night and arrived to a house fully engulfed in flames.
A number of fire crews attended to assist with aerial firefighting which took several hours to extinguish, while some crews stayed behind to ensure there were no re-ignitions.
Luckily all occupants were able to self evacuate.
In another blaze, a Firefighter had to be taken to hospital after a house was destroyed in Maryland early Wednesday morning.
NSW Fire and Rescue received multiple triple-0 calls at around 4.15am, and responded by sending six fire crews to Wyndrow Pde where they found a brick home well alight.
It took fire crews less than an hour to extinguish the blaze. No occupants were inside the home at the time.
One firefighter suffered an injury to his shoulder and was transported to hospital.
Meanwhile, two people suffered smoke inhalation at another house fire at Raymond Terrace on Tuesday night.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to Vogele Terrace just before 8pm to find a brick house fully engulfed in fire.
It took crews an hour to extinguish the department of housing residence.
All fires are being investigated to determine the cause.
