Hunter Valley Rural Crime detectives are trying to work out what happened to a horse, that’s believed to have died after falling from a moving truck and being dragged along.
Just before 4pm on July 12, police received reports a horse has fallen off the back of an “old truck” while it was travelling along Wybong Rd at Wybong.
The horse was believed to have been dragged behind the truck for a substantial distance.
Sadly the animal is believed to have received fatal injuries.
However, when officers were contacted and attended the scene, the deceased horse and the responsible vehicle were nowhere in sight.
The horse has been described as a brown with white markings on its face, wearing a blue horse rug.
