Fingal Bay: Man accused of stabbing his brother while isolating due to coronavirus

A man stands accused of stabbing his brother four times in the back during an early morning street fight outside the home of their mother.
The men, aged 28 and 27, had been bunkered down together at the Fingal Bay home, during the coronavirus outbreak.
Detectives are investigating whether the men had been out partying at another residence when they arrived home in a car about 2.20am.
The pair allegedly began fighting inside the car before a brawl erupted on Shoreline Drive.
Police will allege the older brother went inside and grabbed a chef’s knife before returning to the street.
Detectives will allege he stabbed his younger sibling four times in the back.
The younger brother was rushed to John Hunter Hospital where he was reported to be in a stable condition.
His older brother was charged with wound with inflict to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.
He was refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court tomorrow.
