Charlestown Square: Woman attacked by random man who pulled her to the ground
A woman shopping at Charlestown Square has been targeted in an unprovoked attack. A man pulled her by the hair and yelled at her. He was later arrested and charged.

A woman has been attacked while shopping by a random man who allegedly pulled her hair until she fell to the ground.
The 31-year-old woman was at Charlestown Square at about 8.40am on Thursday when the alleged unprovoked attack happened by a 39-year-old man.
Police further allege the man yelled at the woman, before he fled.
Following an investigation, Lake Macquarie Police attended a motel on the Pacific Highway, Charlestown, more than an hour later.
The man was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station, where he was charged with common assault and affray.
He was refused bail to appear at Belmont Local Court on Friday.
