An man who was a former employee at the Kurri Kurri bowling club two years ago has been charged after police allege he defrauded close to $2 million from the business.
In August 2017, detectives launched an investigation into several alleged fraudulent transactions at a licensed premises in Kurri Kurri between 2010 and 2017.
After extensive inquiries, police arrested a man, 52, on Thursday afternoon and he was taken to Dubbo police station.
Police allege the man, fraudulently obtained approximately $1.9-million from the club.
He was charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception to appear at Kurri Kurri Local Court on October 15.
