A vehicle with bullet holes found by police after reports of shots fired at Weston
Hunter Valley police received reports of a shooting in the Hunter Valley on Tuesday afternoon before later finding an injured man and a vehicle riddled with bullet holes.

A vehicle has been found riddled with bullet holes after reports of a shooting in the Hunter Valley.
Just after 3pm Tuesday, police received reports shots had been fired near Cessnock Road at Weston, in what’s believed to be a targeted attack.
When police arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with a wound to his head, not appearing to be gun shot wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.
A short time later, police found a Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD on Boundary street, Kurri Kurri that had bullet holes embedded in it.

Police will seize the vehicle for forensic examination as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are also calling for any witnesses, who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
