Woman facing string of charges after allegedly crashing car after Singleton chase
What began with allegedly being clocked over the limit turned worse for a woman, who police allege took them on a chase through a Hunter Valley town before crashing into a front yard.

Police allege a cancelled driver took highway patrol officers on a pursuit after failing to stop for travelling over the speed limit only to be arrested after crashing her car into the front lawn of a Hunter Valley home.
The Sydney woman, 33, is facing a string of traffic charges as well as a drug offence after being arrested in the front yard of a Singleton property about 5pm on Tuesday.
Police allege highway patrol officers were conducting speed enforcement duties on Darlington Rd, Singleton when they recorded a vehicle travelling above the speed limit.
“Police signalled for the vehicle to stop; however, it failed to do so and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was soon terminated due to the manner of driving,” police said in a statement.
“Shortly after, police were informed that the vehicle had crashed into the front yard of a property on Greenwood Ave, Singleton.”
The woman, from Berkshire Park in Sydney’s north west, was arrested at the scene and taken to Singleton police station.
She was charged with five offences including police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously; drive while license cancelled; use class A vehicle displaying misleading etc number plate; class A motor vehicle exceed speed > 10km/h; and possess prohibited drug.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Singleton Local Court on Thursday 16 February 2023.
