Police have released CCTV footage of a man as investigations continue into an alleged home invasion at Muswellbrook earlier this year, in which occupants were assaulted and dogs were hacked at with a machete.
He is described as of Aboriginal or Torres Strait appearance, aged 30-35, between 160-170cm tall, with solid build and unshaven face.
Emergency services were called to a Muswellbrook home on Forbes St following reports of an aggravated robbery about 1.15am on March 4.
Police were told five men, armed with weapons including machetes, knives, hammers and a pole, forced their way into the home and demanded money, before assaulting four occupants inside.
A 59-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Two dogs at the home were also struck with machetes and were treated by a vet.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District set up a crime scene and began investigating under Strike Force Blisville.
A keycard that police allege was stolen during the home invasion was used at a service station on Arthur Street in Wellington about 2.20pm on April 6.
Following inquiries, a 29-year-old woman was arrested in Wellington and charged with two counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception and receive property.
She was refused bail at Dubbo Local Court on April 13 and will next appear on May 29 at the same court.
