SCHOFIELDS
POLICE are urging anyone with information into the fatal stabbing of a man in Meadow Rd, Schofields on Saturday to contact them. A police report said soon after 11pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to Meadow Rd in Schofields following reports a man had been stabbed. The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was found outside a home suffering a number of stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hsopital in a critical condition, however, he died a short time later. A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing. If you saw or heard anything suspicious around this time and in this location please call Riverstone Police Station on 9838 2199.
SCHOFIELDS
A MAN, 47, has been charged with having a mid range prescribed concentration of alcohol (PCA) in his blood after police stopped him driving a car along Princess Rd, Schofields on Friday night. A police report said at 11.30pm the man was stopped for a random breath test in Schofields and returned a positive result. He was arrested and taken to Riverstone Police Station for the purposes of a breath analysis and returned a reading of .083. As a result he was issued a field court attendance notice for mid-range PCA. His licence has been suspended and will appear at Blacktown Local Court on the July 25
STANHOPE GARDENS
TWO cars parked along Meldon Place in Stanhope Gardens had their windows smashed last Wednesday. A police report said at 6.40pm a white Nisan X-trail had its rear passenger side window smashed and a mobile phone along with some sunglasses to the value of $700 were stolen. Further along the same street, a silver Mitsubishi Lancer had its driver’s side window smashed, however nothing was stolen. Police would like to speak to any witnesses to this incident. PARKLEA
POLICE have charged a Jordan Springs man, 22, with being in possession of an illegal drug, ice, after he was allegedly found with 2.8 grams of the white crystal substance in the car park of Parklea Correctional Centre last Wednesday. A police report said at 11am police and corrective service officers stopped a silver Nissan Skyline in the carpark of the correctional centre and inside was a man and a woman. Upon a search of the couple and the car, it is alleged the man had three clear plastic bags containing a white crystal substance. Upon test results, it was revealed to be the drug ice. The man was issued a field court attendance notice to appear at Blacktown Local Court this month.
GLENWOOD
A SILVER Toyota Corolla sedan driven by a Castle Hill woman, 58, was involved in an accident with a motorcycle, riden by a Glenwood man, 30, at 11am last Wednesday in Anella Ave, Castle Hill. Police are investigating the accident which resulted in the motorcyclist being taken to Westmead Hospital suffering from a compound fracture to his lower left leg.
ROUSE HILL
A ROUSE HILL woman, 43, has been charged with being a disqualified driver after she was stopped on Windsor Rd in Rouse Hill last Tuesday. A police report said at 2pm, the female driver was stopped due to a police check on her licence. The check revealed she is disqualified from driving until January 2017. She was charged and is now due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on July 25.
KELLYVILLE
FIREFIGHTERS from Kellyville fire station attended the scene of a car rollover on Saturday afternoon at Balmoral Rd in Kellyville. A report said the car accident occurred at 1.50pm and by the time emergency services arrived the the car had been righted and pushed off the roadway by bystanders. Fire and Rescue cleaned up the oil spillage with absorbent and the driver was treated by Ambulance. Police are continuing their enquiries with the male driver to find out exactly how the accident occurred.
KELLYVILLE
A CONCERNED resident contacted Kellyville Fire and Rescue on Saturday morning after an excavator ruptured a gas main on Fairway Drive in Kellyville. A report said at 8.20am the strong smell of gas forced the resident to evacuate his home. The leak was stopped by a gas company worker under the protection of a fire hose from Kellyvilles’ Fire truck. The residents garage was ventilated and he and his pet dog were able to safely return home.
