Man survives a 20cm rock being thrown through his car windscreen along the M7

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a rock throwing incident along the M7 in Quakers Hill on Monday.

A police report said at 3.30pm a Hinchinbrook man, 20, was driving his silver Holden Rodeo ute west bound on the M7 and was 200m away from the Quakers Hill Parkway exit, when a rock about 15-20cm in size was thrown by an unknown person from the side of the freeway.

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a rock throwing incident along the M7 in Quakers Hill on Monday.

A police report said at 3.30pm a Hinchinbrook man, 20, was driving his silver Holden Rodeo ute west bound on the M7 and was 200m away from the Quakers Hill Parkway exit, when a rock about 15-20cm in size was thrown by an unknown person from the side of the freeway.

As a result of the rock being thrown, it smashed through the man’s car windscreen and hit his should and chest.

Miraculously the man was not injured, just in shock, and when he was able, he pulled over.

Upon finding out he was alright he then drove home and reported the incident to police.

Police are seeking witnesses, who may have seen something while they were travelling along the M7 at this time near the Quakers Hill Parkway exit, to contact them at Riverstone Police Station on 9838 2199.
