LOGS and garden waste have been dumped at a commuter carpark at Denistone this morning.
Denistone resident Peter Zangari arrived at the train station carpark at about 10am and found the materials strewn across the road.
“This is cowboy behaviour by shoddy operators to come and dump their green waste here,” he said.
“It’s not the first time I’ve seen this in our suburb.”
The dumping appears to have occurred after most commuters arrived during the morning peak.
Ryde Council said rangers would investigate.
“Council is taking immediate action to have the site at the Denistone commuter carpark cleaned up as soon as possible.
“This illegal action by cowboys usually happens at night under the cover of darkness, but council is hopeful of a prosecution through evidence from CCTV cameras in the location and from interviews with property owners adjoining the site.”
The council encouraged anyone who could help identify those who dumped the waste to call its customer service unit on 9952 8222.
