A NEW primary school will be built in North Kellyville in the next four years, state Budget papers reveal.

Money has also been set aside to continue works at the new Bella Vista Public School in Fairway Drive and previously announced upgrades at Cherrybrook Technology High School as part of a $554m cash boost for school infrastructure across the state.

The NSW Government allocated $400m in this year’s Budget to build new public schools by 2020 at North Kellyville and eight other locations.

State Government plans for North Kellyville show the future school located on Withers Rd, between Foxall and Hezlett roads.

A spokesman for Education Minister Adrian Piccoli said the new school at North Kellyville would accommodate up to 1000 students and help meet local enrolment growth.

“The new learning facilities will incorporate the latest technology to support high quality teaching,” the spokesman said.

“Teaching spaces will be flexible, with movable furniture allowing teachers to easily configure the space to maximise learning for individuals, small groups and whole class activities.”

Baulkham Hills state Liberal MP David Elliott said the new Bella Vista school would open in 2018 and cater for 500 students.

“It will open with 21 classrooms, a library, a hall, administration and staff facilities,” he said.
