Baulkham Hills break-ins: police charge two men aged 20

Hills detectives have charged two men this week with multiple break and enter offences including several aggravated break and enters in Baulkham Hills.

Hills detectives have charged two men this week with multiple break and enter offences including several aggravated break and enters in Baulkham Hills earlier this year.

The arrests were made by detectives from Strike Force Mainsbridge which was formed by The Hills Local Area Command to investigate property-related crimes in Baulkham Hills and neighbouring suburbs including Glenwood.

On Tuesday, Hills detectives arrested and charged a 20-year-old Seven Hills man with four offences including the alleged theft of a car from a woman who was washing the family’s Holden Captiva outside her home in Parraweena Ave on April 28.

It is alleged he was one of three people who were running from a botched break and enter in nearby Munro St when they came across the woman and the car.

The man was also charged with aggravated break and enter in Munro St, the theft of the car in Parraweena and being in possession of offensive weapon, a knife. He is due before Penrith Court on September 2.

WEDNESDAY’S ARREST

On Wednesday detectives arrested a 20-year-old man and charged him with 13 offences including 10 break and enter offences between March 7 and March 30, plus the theft of a car and menacing driving in Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills on March 8, impersonating a police officer in Coronation Rd, Baulkham Hills on March 30 and robbery in company.

He was also charged with break and enter offences in Meurants Lane, Glenwood on March 27; Ampitheatre Circuit and Jasper Rd, Baulkham Hills on March 29; Juniper Place, Bass Drive and Coronation Rd, Baulkham Hills; Barclay Rd, North Rocks and Tarrants Ave, Eastwood on March 30.

The Blacktown man was due before Parramatta Court yesterday. This week’s arrests follow two arrests made earlier this year which are connected.

PREVIOUS ARRESTS

A 20-year-old man from Umina Beach was charged with 11 offences including five of the same break-ins in Baulkham Hills on March 29 and March 30 and also a break in Jenner St, Baulkham Hills between those days. He was arrested on May 11.

A second Umina Beach man was charged on May 9 with 32 offences including the aggravated break and enter in Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills, Munro St, Parraweena Ave and Cross St, Baulkham Hills.

Police are hoping to charge a fifth person in relation to some of the Baulkham Hills matters.
