NEW 3D images for three communities along the future Sydney Metro Northwest have been unveiled, showing high rise buildings and town centres springing up around train stations.
The images, which also feature a revamped Castle Hill Showground, were revealed last week at public information sessions for the draft planning proposals of Bella Vista, Showground and Kellyville.
The three areas have been identified as “priority precincts” and are being planned for by the State Government.
The remaining five communities along the rail line are being planned for by the council.
A spokesman for the Department of Planning said the first community drop-in sessions attracted about 400 residents in total.
A second community drop-in session will be held for Kellyville and Bella Vista precincts on Thursday, February 11, 4.30-8pm, at Novotel Sydney Norwest Hotel.
A community drop-in session for the draft Showground Station Precinct Proposal will be held at the Castle Hill RSL on Saturday February 13, 10am-1pm.
Local people are encouraged to attend a session to learn more about the draft plans.
These include areas for rezoning, provision for improved public open space and infrastructure works.
Residents have until February 28 to make a formal submission.
