Woman arrested for drugs after Campsie police pelted with coins
Police officers pelted with coins outside a Punchbowl apartment complex as they tried to retrieve a stolen car ended up allegedly discovering drugs inside one of the units.

Police have been pelted with coins from a rooftop an as they tried to retrieve a stolen car outside a Punchbowl apartment complex.
Campsie Crime Manager Det Inspector Paul Albury said the police officers were recovering the stolen vehicle on Matthews St on September 30 when they were attacked from above with coins and other items thrown at them.
“One of the police car windows was damaged by the items thrown from the roof top but no one was injured,” Det Insp Albury said.
After calling for assistance from the Regional Enforcement Squad and dog squad, the officers went to the roof area to look for the people who were throwing items at them.
However, the people had fled by then, Det Insp Albury said.
“Police noticed an open window in a unit and this subsequently led to the seizure of drug scales, a knife, a small amount of cannabis and a large bag of a methylamphetamine, weighing 1047 grams, was located,” he said.
The ice has a potential street value of more than $500,000, according to the police.
While guarding the unit, police observed a Greystanes woman who had caught a lift to the top floor and was trying to quickly leave.
“Police stopped her and she was searched, and located two sets of keys to the vacant unit,” Det Insp Albury said.

He said when officers searched her car which was parked at the scene, they allegedly found prohibited drugs.
Chief Insp Albury said the woman refused to be interviewed after she was taken to the police station.
The woman was charged with two counts of supplying prohibited drugs (cannabis and cocaine) and possessing prohibited drug.
At 7:10pm on Wednesday, October 2, the Greystanes woman attended Campsie Police Station where she was placed under arrest and booked into custody again.
She was charged with supplying prohibited drugs.
Bail was refused and she is due to appear in Burwood Local Court on December 4.
Police are continuing their investigations.
