Villawood men charged following investigation into online scam which fleeced woman’s life savings
A police investigation sparked by a woman being fleeced of her life savings through an online scam has seen two people arrested in Sydney’s southwest.

Two men allegedly involved in money laundering and organised crime have been charged following a six-month police investigation after a woman was fleeced of her life savings through an online scam.
Detectives from Campsie Police Area Command and officers from the NSW Police Riot Squad executed a search warrant on Woodville Rd, Villawood on Thursday as part of inquiries.
Officers seized phones, laptops, and a luxury vehicle and two men, both aged 22, were arrested and taken to Fairfield police station,
One of the men was charged with three offences, including dealing with the property proceeds of crime and knowingly/recklessly directing criminal group.
He was refused bail and will appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
The other man was charged with dealing with the property proceeds of crime.
He was granted bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on May 18.
