A driver has been fined a huge sum after a bizarre drive along a western Sydney road towing a trailer with just three wheels. And that’s just the start of the stupidity.

Bankstown Police were left scratching their heads at the sheer brazenness of a motorist who was allegedly driving an unregistered vehicle with false number plates while towing a trailer with only three wheels.
In addition, the front headlight was missing, with the driver reportedly telling police he had hit a kangaroo last week.
Bankstown Police chief inspector Brad Thorne told The Express the man had been driving his Hiace van at 1.10am on Monday along Canterbury Rd, Bankstown, when he was stopped by officers.
“Thankfully, these types of incidents don’t happen regularly,” Chief Insp Thorne said.
“The man has been fined $2000 for the infringements we issued him and it will not go to court.
“His licence has not been cancelled.”
The registration for the vehicle had been cancelled on June 29 this year but the driver, according to the police, used the registration of another Hiace.
While the trailer was registered, it had no licence plate attached and one wheel was missing.
According to police, the wheel was completely missing and the tow hitch gone also, being held on with a fabric strap.
The jockey wheel was also in contact with the road.
The man’s infringements included:
■ Use unregistered class A vehicle on road
■ Use uninsured motor vehicle
■ Use class A vehicle with unauthorised number plate affixed
■ Use unsafe/unserviceable vehicle on road.
