Three people allegedly armed with machete and gun attempt to break into Bankstown home

THREE people allegedly armed with a machete and a gun have tried to break into a Bankstown home. Police were called to De Witt St just after 10pm last night following reports of the incident.

THREE people allegedly armed with a machete and a gun have tried to break into a Bankstown home.

Just after 10pm last night, police were called to a unit on De Witt St, Bankstown, following reports a group of people were armed and attempting to force entry into a home.

Police were told two men and a woman who were armed with a machete and firearm, entered the unit and began to argue with a 24-year-old woman.

It is believed that the group threatened the woman and two men, before assaulting them and fleeing the scene.

Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command have started an investigation into the incident.
