A Greenacre woman busted open her fly screen window and attempted to throw out nine bags of cocaine into her neighbour’s property as police conducted a search warrant of her home, a court has heard.

Rayane Succari, 31, appeared before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to drug supply.

Documents tendered to court state when Succari saw police enter her home on December 14, she was “running to and from her room as a result of their presence”.

“Succari attempted to dispose of clear resealable bags containing approximately 7g of cocaine, by throwing the cocaine out a window into a neighbouring property,” the facts state.

During a search of Succari’s bedroom, police found a small plastic bag containing about 2.5g of a white powdery substance and saw outside a flyscreen had appeared to have been forcibly ejected outside her window.

Succari’s lawyer said her parents have been “unforgiving” in relation to the incident and told the court his client was “effectively supplying” to feed her own habits.

The police prosecutor said there was significant need for general deterrence when sentencing Succari as “violent crime is being committed in the community due to drug trade”.

Magistrate Daniel Covington said Succari’s letter submitted to court speaks of self reflection of how she “slipped into drug use” and since the offence had “cleaned herself up and engaged in some treatment”.

“Drugs are expensive … when you’re addicted so people either supply or steal to make that money,” he said.

Succari was convicted and sentenced to a 18-month community correction order.

Charges of drug possession, recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime and goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen were all withdrawn.
