A man accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal car accident which killed a Sydney mother of two almost two years ago has faced court charged with her death.

A man accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal car accident which killed a Sydney mother of two almost two years ago has faced court charged with her death.
Police allege Hassan Wraydeh, 40, was driving a stolen white Mitsbushi Lancer EVO on August 7, 2016 when he crashed into a Honda CRV on Warwick St in Punchbowl.
His passenger Georgina “Gina” Abdallah, 38, was seriously injured and died in Liverpool Hospital of her injuries.
CCTV footage depicts the driver walking away from the scene of the crash with his belongings.
The Bankstown man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, stealing a car, taking and driving a car without the owner’s consent and failing to stop and render assistance after a car crash.
Mr Wraydeh did not enter a plea and was formally refused bail at Bankstown Local Court yesterday (July 5).
He will reply to the charges at Burwood Local Court via audiovisual link on August 30.
Ms Abdallah is survived by her husband and two young children.
Ms Abdallah’s mother Areti said in 2016, her daughter was a “beautiful girl” with a heart of gold.
“She was a good mother, a beautiful person, her heart was gold. She help people, even if she got five dollars she give to someone. She was very soft, always smile, joking,” Mrs Abdallah said
“I don’t know why my daughter’s gone. I locked her room, I don’t want to know nothing.
“You can’t believe what a beautiful girl she was, everyone loved her.”
