Officer injured trying to arrest overseas student who allegedly attacked woman in car park
A naked overseas student has allegedly sexually touched a woman before breaking the tooth of a police officer in a carpark in southwest Sydney.

A naked overseas student is behind bars after allegedly sexually attacking a woman and injuring a police officer who tried to arrest him, at an apartment carpark in a southwest Sydney suburb.
The 27-year-old Pakistani student had allegedly punched a 29-year-old woman who had been walking back to her Belmore unit after parking her car in the underground car park, at 10.45pm on Tuesday, February 11.
The man, who lives in Lakemba, allegedly pinned her to the ground and sexually touched her.
The woman screamed and was able to break free run to her unit.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Albury said: “Officers found the naked man in the underground carpark. Police approached the 27-year-old and, as they took hold of his arm, he allegedly struck one of the officers.
“The male constable suffered a broken tooth and was taken to St George Hospital.
“The constable is undergoing testing for possible bruising to his brain.”
Police subdued the student and took him to Canterbury Hospital for treatment.
He was later released and taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with sexual touching, common assault, cause grievous bodily harm to police officer on duty, and resist/hinder police in the execution of duty.
“The arrival of the police officers so quickly on the scene averted what could have been a more serious situation,” Chief Insp Albury said.
The overseas student was refused bail and appeared in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday. He was refused bail at court and will be remanded in custody until he re-appears in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday, April 8.
