Masked men fire shots into Revesby home targeting family

Masked gunmen fired several shots into a house in a south west Sydney home before jumping over a back fence and fleeing.

Police are searching for three masked gunmen who fired shots into a house in Revesby before escaping over a backyard fence.

The four residents inside the house fortunately escaped injuries with police investigating the reasons behind the shooting.

Bankstown Police said their officers were called to the home on Marco Ave around 12.30am Monday after several triple-0 calls were made from worried neighbours.

“Officers have been told three men with their faces covered entered the backyard of the property and fired shots into the back of the house,” a police spokesman said.

“They then jumped over a back fence to escape.

“Four people inside the house at the time were not injured.

“An investigation is now under way and police are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have seen a vehicle leaving the vicinity about 12.30am to call Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
