Man charged after allegedly filming schoolgirl after following her to a Sydney bakery

A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly filming a female student while she was at a bakery in Bankstown.

POLICE arrested a Yagoona man for allegedly following a female student to a bakery in Bankstown and filming her.

Bankstown Police said on Monday, March 4, at 2.30pm, a 36-year-old male from Yagoona allegedly followed a school student into a bakery in the Old Town Plaza, Bankstown.

Police allege he filmed and took photographs of the student.

He was charged by police on Wednesday, March 13, with stalk/intimidate, intend fear physical harm, and four counts of film person’s private parts without consent.

ROSELANDS: Four people have been charged after allegedly using a taxi to supply cocaine across Sydney’s south west. After extensive investigations, Bankstown Police Area Command officers stopped a taxi on Bonds Rd, Roselands, on Friday, March 22. Officers seized a substance believed to be cocaine and arrested the driver, a 57-year-old man. A short time later police executed search warrants at homes in Bankstown, Bass Hill, Campsie, and Rhodes. Officers allegedly seized cash, a money counting machine, a baton, and various electronic items.

Three people were arrested — a 52-year-old woman and two men, aged 27 and 53. They were taken to Bankstown station and charged with ongoing drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, and participation in a criminal group.

The 57-year-old man was charged on two counts each of ongoing drug supply prohibited drug and dealing with proceeds of crime, and participation in a criminal group. Police will allege the group supplied cocaine via a taxi driven by the older man. Investigations by Operation Trident are continuing.

PADSTOW: A Georges Hall man was arrested after driving the wrong way on the M5 on Saturday, with his car being stuck on a concrete barrier. Police said around 10.25am, they were called to reports of a Volkswagen utility travelling the wrong way on the M5 exit off-ramp at Hammondville. The vehicle then attempted to enter the eastbound lanes of the motorway, becoming stuck on a concrete dividing barrier. Police arrested the 47-year-old driver and took him to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests. Pending the analysis of these tests, the man is expected to be charged with serious traffic offences at a later date.

BANKSTOWN: Police have charged a senior officer over two alleged off-duty incidents, including a threatening phone call and an altercation. Bankstown Police said they had been investigating an alleged threatening phone call on Thursday, September 27, 2018, and an alleged altercation between two men at Revesby on Thursday, November 22, 2018. Following inquiries on Tuesday, the officer, a senior constable attached to a specialist command, was served with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of common assault – domestic violence related, use carriage service to menace, harasser offend, and intimidation. He is expected to appear before Bankstown Local Court on May 2.

BANKSTOWN: Detectives investigating the disappearance of Walgett mother Roxlyn Bowie in 1984, are appealing for public help regarding the items they have found during their forensic examination at a home in Walgett last week. One of the items relates to a diamond ring bought from a Bankstown pawn shop on June 6, 1984. There is a $1 million reward for information leading to the location of her body or for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her murder.

CHESTER HILL: A 24-year-old Chester Hill man was arrested and charged at Kempsey Police Station on Monday, March 18, for allegedly committing armed robberies at a convenience store in Glebe and a petrol station in Chester Hill at different times on June 8, 2018. He allegedly discharged a round into the cigarette cabinet at the petrol station on Boundary Rd, Chester Hill. He was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, fire firearm in or near public place and robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.

VILLAWOOD: A man has been arrested and charged for alleged shoplifting at Villawood on Wednesday, March 2019. Fairfield Police said a 43-year-old male from St Johns Park allegedly took numerous items from a store in the shopping complex on Woodville Rd, Villawood, around 10am. He was charged with shoplifting. Police said he pleaded guilt at a court hearing on March 20 and was sentenced to 2 months prison.

GREENACRE: Police, who were conducting a firearms prohibition order at an address on Wilbur St, Greenacre, on Sunday, March 17, at 9.55pm, allegedly found a quantity of prohibited substance. A 32-year-old Greenacre male, subject of the order, was charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime. He was refused bail and the matter is next before Bankstown Local Court on the May 8.
