CHANNEL 9’s Australian Ninja Warrior may be finished, but a mini-ninja program is starting up in Bankstown.
Little warriors, aged three to five, will be soon be able to test their kung-fu skills as part of Bankstown YMCA’s Ninja Gym program.
Based on an obstacle course, it combines gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, cross training and indoor rock climbing.
Developed before Australian Ninja Warrior aired, a Bankstown YMCA spokeswoman said the program launch was brought forward due to the popularity of the show.
“Seeing the incredible interest around the show we decided to bring the launch forward, so that local kids can get involved and enjoy it now,” she said.
The spokeswoman said the freestyle nature of the program meant it was perfect for kids “with endless energy”.
A free ninja trial class is open until August 13. The official program will start at the Revesby-based centre soon.
