Johnathan Isaac Woods charged with murder of James Pakis
A man found dead with multiple stab wounds in a southwest Sydney home has been identified, as another man has faced court charged with his murder.

A man has been charged with murder after a body was discovered with multiple stab wounds in Sydney’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to a home on Lakemba St, Belmore at about 9pm on March 15 following reports of a concern for welfare.
On arrival, police located the body of a 34-year-old man with a number of stab wounds.
The man has now been identified as James Pakis.
A crime scene was established, and a number of items seized.
Following an investigation by Strike Force Sandilands, a 21-year-old man was arrested at Bankstown Police Station two days later.
Johnathan Isaac Woods was charged with one count of murder and his matter briefly mentioned at Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday.
Police will allege Woods killed Mr Pakis some time between 6pm and 10.38pm at the Belmore residence.
Represented by Crimcorp Defence Lawyers principal solicitor Oussama Elfawal, Woods did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.
He is yet to enter a plea on his charge and his matter is due to return to Burwood Local Court on May 14.
