A brand new view of AFL Supercoach is here, pitting postcode against postcode in the ultimate battle for local bragging rights.

WELCOME to a brand new view of Supercoach, what we’re calling “Supercoach Local: The Battle of the Postcodes”.

After Round 1 of the AFL season, 240 teams have registered in Canterbury-Bankstown Express’s area, part of the 184,000-strong national competition so far this year.

LaBomba@SCT is leading the local campaign after a gripping AFL season kick-off which saw Richmond, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, St Kilda, GWS and Fremantle all start the season with a win.

Top local supercoach Karan from postcode 2190, which covers suburbs including Mount Lewis, Greenacre and Chullora, scored 2256 points and is ranked 777th nationally, 142 behind the Supercoach leader Wal13Freo from postcode 3464 in Victoria's Central Goldfields, west of Bendigo.

A total of 153 Supercoach points separate first position and tenth position in Canterbury-Bankstown Express’s competition.

The median score for all teams nationally was 1936 this week.
