A PREGNANT woman, who was trying to sell her Mercedes, was allegedly carjacked while her two children were inside at Greenacre with police launching a search for two people who drove away with the black Mercedes A45 AMG (NSW registration DZG31F).

About 4:20pm on Saturday, Bankstown Police said a 34-year-old woman, who is nine months pregnant, was contacted by a male regarding an online advertisement for her 2014 black Mercedes A45 AMG.

Police said the woman met two men at a property on Mahogany Way, Greenacre, and agreed to take one of the men on a test drive, taking her two children, a 10-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl with her.

“After a short time, the man asked to test-drive the vehicle and the woman agreed, stopping the car on Maiden Street, Greenacre,” police said.

“As the woman walked around the car, the man got into the driver’s seat, locked the doors and began to drive away.

“The woman grabbed hold of the door handle but fell over as the car drove off with her two children still inside.

“The car stopped about 300m down the road where the man ordered the two children out of the car, before driving away.”

The 34-year-old woman alerted police to the incident and officers from Bankstown Police Area Command commenced investigations.

The woman — who has asked not to be named — told The Daily Telegraph she has cuts along her elbows and knees after being dragged for metres while holding on to the car door.

“A man called me to come have a look at a car I was selling and when we were test driving I got out to go around the car to get in the passenger seat so he could drive and he sped off with my children in the back,” she said.

“I’ve grazed my knees and elbows while I was holding on to the door and then yelled down a passing car so we could go after him.

“I got in the car with the random person and after a few hundred metres I saw my boy and girl standing on the side of the road.”
