Elderly Villawood man allegedly threatened by armed men and robbed at home

BANKSTOWN police are investigating a home invasion at Villawood on Monday night, where an elderly man was allegedly threatened and held at gun point by three men.
Police said around 7.45pm on Monday, a 63-year-old man and sole occupant of a home on Alcoomie St, walked outside to move his car.
Police said the man noticed a white/beige hatchback pull up outside his home and saw three men get out.

Police said the men were allegedly armed with a shortened double-barrel shotgun, a hand-gun and a knife.
Two of the men ran towards the occupant while the third man ran to the rear of his property.
According to police, the man was allegedly threatened by the men and taken to the backyard where he was pushed to the ground and held at gun point while two men ransacked his home.
The men stole a gold watch, a gold ring and a packet of cigarettes before running from the location.
The occupant, who was not injured, later called police, who are requesting anyone who may have information to contact Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
