A CAR caught fire on Roberts Rd, Greenacre, Friday morning but no one was was inside.
Fire and Rescue NSW, who attended the incident, said it took their crew from Lakemba around 50 minutes to douse the flames which engulfed the vehicle.
The fire occurred near the McDonalds cafe and blocked off two lanes of traffic while the firefighters fought the blaze.
“Our crew arrived at the scene around 6am and found the car well alight,” a FRNSW spokeswoman said.
“The car was totally destroyed but no one was inside.
“Two lanes were closed to traffic for some time due to the fire.”
