LOCAL youth looking for jobs, career advice or apprenticeships will be able to use the vast resources of MWLP at their special event at Revesby Workers Club on Monday, December 3.

MWLP is hosting a free Jobs for Youth Night from 7-9pm aimed at current and school leavers, who will be able to learn about apprenticeships and traineeships from a host of providers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes because there will be jobs being offered in different areas including automotive, business administration, construction, child care, engineering, electrical, health and hospitality.

There will be plenty of opportunities at the Jobs for Youth Night.

“Apprentices are paid to learn while working and fees have now been waived so there is no better time to kickstart a career,” a MWLP spokeswoman said.

“With more than 2,600 apprentices signing up in NSW since the fee-free initiative came into effect on July 1 this year, experts are still estimating that another 50,000 construction workers and 19,000 chefs will be needed this year alone.”

MWLP is a not-for-profit organisation using a network of stakeholders to support youth in their personal and professional career development, helping them “make the successful transition from school to work”.
