Khalid El-Sayed charged with drug supply, firearm offences after Condell Park incident

An alleged drug supplier accused of threatening workmen with a firearm, forcing them to escape through a first-floor window, has been identified after appearing in court.

A 44-year-old man who is accused of threatening two workmen with a firearm, forcing them to escape a southwest Sydney building through a first-floor bathroom window, has faced court.

Khalid El-Sayed, of Little Hartley in the Blue Mountains, has been charged with nine offences after he allegedly fired a gun at two people - Abdul Moeed and Mohamed Shoaib - about 11am Thursday.

Bankstown Police Area Command officers attended and established a perimeter, with assistance from the South West Metropolitan Operational Support Group, the Public Order and Riot Squad, the Tactical Operations Unit and PolAir.

El-Sayed was arrested about 1.30pm without further incident.

He has been charged with nine offences including possessing an unregistered firearm, stalk/intimidate, fire a firearm in a manner likely to injure, drug supply, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.

Court documents state he allegedly supplied cannabis lead and a commercial quantity ofmethamphetamine, totalling 2.3kg.

At Bankstown Local Court on Friday, El-Sayed did not apply for bail and it was formally refused by Magistrate Glen Walsh refused bail.

No pleas have been entered and the matter was adjourned the matter to Burwood Local Court on July 12.
