Bankstown man allegedly smashes glass on restaurant owner’s head
A man who allegedly glassed the owner of a restaurant in Bankstown has been arrested.

The owner of Jasmin 1 restaurant in Bankstown has been allegedly assaulted by one of his patrons.
Bankstown police said at 7.30pm on Monday, they were called to the Lebanese restaurant on South Terrace following reports the 38-year-old owner had been assaulted.
Police said they found the owner had a laceration to his head “believed to have been caused by a smashed glass”.
A spokesman for Ambulance NSW said their paramedics treated the man for a deep cut on the top of his head, outside the restaurant.
“There was a fair bit of blood on his head and he was taken to Bankstown Hospital after we treated him,” the spokesman said.
Bankstown police later arrested a 39-year-old man at the intersection of South Terrace and Carnation Ave, Punchbowl.

The Bankstown man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was refused bail and fronted Bankstown Local Court today.
A spokeswoman for Jasmin 1 restaurant told The Express the owner has recovered and they are open for business.
“Everything is OK with him,” she said.
