The roof of a southwest Sydney home has erupted in flames following a backyard grass and bamboo fire.
Three Fire and Rescue NSW crews rushed to Northam and Chertsey Aves, Bankstown at following reports of the fire about 1.47pm.
Fire and Rescue NSW superintendent Adam Dewberry said crews were currently on the scene and working to protect the affected property.
