Bankstown: Ahmed Sammak charged with supplying drugs in southwest Sydney
A man, who is allegedly involved in the supply of drugs in southwest Sydney, has fronted court for the first time after police allegedly found a gun at his unit.

A Bankstown man is in custody after police allegedly found a pistol, quantities of cocaine, cannabis and cash, suspected of being stolen, at his home.
Ahmed Sammak appeared at Bankstown Local Court on Friday, charged with several offences, including supplying prohibited drug, possessing prohibited drug, possessing unauthorised firearm and goods suspected of being stolen.
Bankstown Police said Sammak was charged following an investigation into drug supply in southwest Sydney.
Police officers, helped by the Tactical Operations Unit, arrested Sammak after executing a search warrant at his apartment on Hume Hwy, Bankstown, on Thursday afternoon.
Bankstown Police said they allegedly seized 23.27g cocaine, 123g cannabis, $5,730 in cash, ammunition and “items consistent with drug supply”.
Sammak’s defence lawyer told the court he would not be applying for bail.
No plea has been entered.
Sammak is charged with two counts of supplying prohibited drug, two counts of possessing prohibited drug, possessing unauthorised firearm, possessing unregistered firearm, not keeping firearm safely, possessing ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and goods suspected stolen.
The case has been adjourned until Wednesday, March 11, when Sammak is to appear via video link.
