A little about you:
I am a housewife and I have recently finished my diploma of early childhood education. I have a five-year-old son and I’m currently pregnant now. I love reading and listening to music and spending time with my family and friends.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Bangladesh and growing up in such a beautiful environment was a wonderful time of my life as I had my whole family there.
When did you arrive here?
I arrived in Australia on 5th of February 2013. I was married to Ken Kibria who was already an Australian citizen so naturally I became permanent resident in Australia to be with my husband.
What was the biggest challenge for you?
Even after being eligible to became an Australian citizen and not knowing when you will get an interview was the biggest challenge for me.
What do you like most about Australia?
Australia is a multicultural country and I like how everyone is allowed to practice and follow their own religion. Australian people are very friendly and helpful. This country has a lot of new opportunities for all new immigrants. That is the very exciting thing about living in Australia.
What does it mean to you to become an Australian citizen?
Being an Australian citizen is like a dream come true. After waiting for a long time to become an Australian citizen and finally getting a citizenship ceremony date means everything to me. I know once I become an Australian citizen that I will have endless opportunities to pursue my future career.
