A MAN charged with sexually assaulting a little girl has had his matter heard in court.
Andrew Robert Manners, 44, was charged with six offences including aggravated sexual assault of a victim under the age of 16, indecently assaulting and having sexual intercourse with a victim under the age of 10.
Mr Manners was arrested last June and remains in custody following the alleged historic sexual abuse of a child under the age of 10.
Court documents reveal Mr Manners allegedly assaulted a girl — sometime between January 1 and December 31 in 2001 — in Panania, in Sydney’s south-west.
During the assault, Mr Manners allegedly placed the hand of the victim, who was aged seven at the time, on his genitalia, according to police documents.
Police alleged Mr Manners placed his fingers into the genitalia of the victim without her consent while allegedly knowing that she was not consenting to sexual intercourse.
He then allegedly had sexual intercourse with the seven-year-old girl and rubbed the victim’s left inner thigh area during the assault, according to police documents.
Mr Manners who is in custody had his matter heard for a brief mention at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday to determine a case conference date.
The matter was been adjourned to March 25 where he will appear via AVL.
