The partner of a high-profile Alameddine crime family figure told police she didn’t remember her driving privileges were withdrawn as she suffered from PTSD from watching her former bikie husband’s murder.

Jade Heffer, 28, appeared before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to driving while licence cancelled.

On June 11, Heffer was stopped by Parramatta Highway Patrol who told her licence was cancelled.

“(Heffer) informed police she had been to court the week prior and thought that she could now drive as her conviction was quashed for ‘driving with privileges withdrawn’,” the facts state.

However, police confirmed she never reinstated her Victorian licence as she cited ongoing mental health conditions since the death of her husband in June 2022.

A couple of weeks later she was approached by police driving on King Georges Rd, Wiley Park where checks revealed her Victorian licence had been cancelled since March.

Heffer had previously been sentenced for driving while her privileges with withdrawn for an incident on February 26.

Court documents state Heffer drove on Parramatta Rd in Haberfield when police observed she made a sudden left hand turn across a number of lanes into Sloane St.

Police conducted a random breath test where Heffer returned a negative result and showed her Victorian driver’s licence.

Court documents state: “It’s probably gonna tell you that I’m suspended because my Victorian licence shows that I’m not allowed to drive on it in NSW or something stupid like that”.

Checks revealed Service NSW had withdrawn her driving privileges due a demerit point suspension.

The court heard when reminded her of a previous interaction with police in December, in which she signed an officers notebook to acknowledge being told her driving privileges in NSW had been withdrawn, she said ‘I don’t remember’.

Heffer said words similar to “I watched my husband get murdered. I suffer from PTSD and depression. I don’t remember”, court documents state.

Heffer was married to the Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu when he was gunned down in a Rhodes parking lot last year.

The court heard she had been convicted of driving when visiting privileges were withdrawn at Burwood Local Court earlier this year and was sentenced to a 12 month conditional release order and had her licence disqualified for six months.

On appeal, her conviction was quashed and her licence disqualification was removed.

Heffer’s lawyer said his client now understood her obligations and had been confused with the court orders.

He said his client would need a licence to find a job and to compete the nine hour journey from her regional NSW home to Sydney for medical and legal appointments.

Magistrate Jennifer Giles said Heffer would “be a better driver into the future” after completing the traffic offenders program and would not take further action on the breach of the conditional release order imposed for driving with privileges withdrawn.

Heffer was sentenced to a 12 month conditional release order without conviction for driving while licence cancelled. She can’t drive until notified in writing by Transport for NSW that she is legally licenced to drive in NSW.
